Press conference R.A.R., 30 March 2016

Wednesday, 30 March 2016, at the Faculty of Law, "Petre Antonescu" Hall, was held a press conference within the project "RAR – Reclaiming English Studies in Romania", financed through EEA Grants, Programme PA16/RO12. The event was attended by prominent representatives of the University of Bucharest, Professor Irina Pană, Ph.D., Professor Lidia Vianu, Ph.D. and Eliana Ionoaia, Ph.D., representatives of the Ministry of Education, British Council Romania and Radio Romania Cultural.

In the opening of the press conference, it was outlined the project's contribution to English studies research and to providing online access to a corpus of documents dating from the 1750-1940 period. There were also presented the project’s objectives and results in the context of digital books era.

The Q&A session generated debates regarding the use of the website www.recuperareaanglisticii.ro as a tool for training undergraduate teachers and the need to create a discussion forum.
