FOLLOW-UP Multicultural Museum Pavilion inauguration, 27 May 2016

Friday, 27th May 2016, took place the inauguration of the Multicultural Museum Pavilion, located at the main entrance of ASTRA Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization.

The event was attended by representatives of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, of the Ministry for European Funds, of the Ministry of Culture, of the local authorities and of the project partner, Sør Trøndelag Museums (MiST) from Trondheim, Norway.

In the opening, Ciprian Anghel Ștefan, general manager of ASTRA National Museum Complex, highlighted that the new pavilion represents not only an exhibition space, but a new strategy for safeguarding the values of the Romanian village.

Over 300 people participated at the event, including tourists and representatives of local and national media. After the religious ceremony and the ribbon cutting, a tour of the pavilion was organized.

The new facility hosts an information center, exhibition and multimedia spaces dedicated to museum collections and office spaces.

The investment, carried out between 2014 and 2016, is part of the pre-defined project financed through EEA Grants, Programme PA16/RO12.
