The Bucharest Branch of the Armân Community from Romania continues the educational activities dedicated to members and volunteers from the project financed through EEA Grants, Programme PA16/RO12.

During 12-13 February 2016, the Catalan House of Iceland hosted the event Aromanian Culture Weekend in Reykjavik. On this occasion, conferences (presentations, short film projections etc.) and workshops on dancing and cooking took place.

The Hungarian University Federation of Cluj (FUMC – KMEI) is implementing the project “Culture and Nature in Transylvania: Past and Future” through which a unique transdisciplinary and transnational research group is established that studies the cultural and natural heritages of Sălaj County in a common framework using the complex methodologies of ecology, art history, archaeology, cultural and visual anthropology.

The Project Management Unit - Ministry of Culture, acting as Programme Operator, announces the opening of the call for bilateral actions – Measure B.

On December 4th 2015, at the University Museum of Bergen, took place the opening ceremony of the exhibition „Kissed Again and Again. Romanian Icons from Transylvania”, organized by Alba County Council, in partnership with the National Museum of Unification Alba Iulia, the Orthodox Archdiocese of Alba Iulia and the University Museum of Bergen.

On November 20th 2015, Dâmbovița County Council organized the launching conference of the project „ Restoration and consolidation of the Gabriel Popescu Atelier House, Vulcana-Pandele Commune, Dâmbovița County, Romania” financed through Programme PA16/RO12.

During 8 and 12 November 2015, as part of the project Living Castle – cultural, scientific and creative events for valorification of Daniel Castle in Tălișoara,financed through Programme PA16/RO12, an artistic creation camp – painting and an artistic creation camp – photo and film were organized.

Friday, October 30th 2015, Alba Iulia „Unirii Hall” hosted a public presentation for interested parties regarding the project „MUSEIKON. New Icon Museum revitalizes a restored heritage building in Alba Iulia” financed through EEA Grants.

During 23 – 25 October 2015, in Sibiu, took place Shukar Fest: exhibition of Roma traditional handicrafts, part of the project financed through EEA Grants, Programme PA16/RO12.

The event „Celebration of the harvest” took place in the project Cultural road „Mălâncrav – living multi-ethnical heritage”, opportunity for craftsmen who participated in the demonstrations program to exhibit specific products: wicker baskets, rugs, embroidered tablecloths and napkins.

On October 15th 2015 an workshop took place regarding the Coordinates for drafting the development master plan of the National Ethnographic Park „Romulus Vuia”.

The donor states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) approved the possibility of granting an extension of projects implemented under the Programme PA16/RO12 Conservation and Revitalisation of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
