International contest of solutions awards ceremony, April 25th 2017

Tuesday, April 25th 2017, the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography hosted a press conference and the awards ceremony of the international contest of solutions having the design theme “Revitalizing the area of the Ethnographic Park Romulus Vuia – Hoia Forest, Cluj-Napoca”. The contest was organized within the project “Conserving - restoring and showcasing the wood churches Petrindu and Cizer” financed through EEA Grants, PA16/RO12 Programme.

The event gathered representatives of the project partner, Nordic Urban Design Association from Norway, as well as representatives of the local authorities. An international jury of outstanding Romanian and foreign specialists from Norway, Sweden and Austria had the task to analyze and apply the evaluation criteria to the 10 proposals received from participants from Japan, United Kingdom and Romania. The jury awarded the solution of a young architect from Cluj-Napoca, Alice Florean. The winning proposal focused on the museum, the landscape and the social component of the space.
