The inauguration of the first icon and ancient books museum from Romania took place in Alba Iulia on April 28th 2017. The Museikon project, financed through EEA Grants, envisioned the conservation and restoration of a historical monument, the restoration of 52 icons and 15 old Romanian books to be included in the permanent exhibition.

On the day that marks 30 years since its establishment, also took place the official inauguration of the museum restored with the support of EEA Grants.

Tuesday, April 25th 2017, the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography hosted a press conference and the awards ceremony of the international contest of solutions having the design theme “Revitalizing the area of the Ethnographic Park Romulus Vuia – Hoia Forest, Cluj-Napoca”.

Interactive workshops dedicated to children, their parents and visitors were organized on the “Path of ethnic minorities” within Astra Museum. The participants had the opportunity to taste local traditional dishes and to attend sewing and embroidering workshops, pottery and ceramic painting workshops.

Between April 21st and 23rd 2017, a Guilds and Crafts Fair and a Guilds Festival took place at the Corvin Castle from Hunedoara. The events were organized within the project “The cultural legacy of Corvin Castle – Guilds House Museum” financed through EEA Grants.
